EXAMPLE OF ANNUAL PM ON A MILL & LATHE

Coolant and Air System

• Inspect Coolant Hoses

• Verify operation of flood and TSC coolant systems

• Inspect all air hoses and air system components

• Inspect spindle air blast*

Mechanical System

• Verify machine level

• Check spindle lube

• Clean and decontaminate Axis guides and screws

• Check spindle orientation alignment

• Inspect drive belts*

• Inspect turret indexing system (Fuse Level)*

• Verify turret to spindle parallelism*

• Inspect way covers and wipers

• Inspect spindle encoder operation

• Verify gearbox/motor operation

• Inspect Tool Changer and lubricate*

• Inspect spindle taper condition*

Lubrication system

• Inspect filter

• Inspect hoses and fittings

• Check pump operation / test

• Check/adjust pressure spindle regulator

• Inspect system for leaks

• Change gearbox oil (lathe only)

• Change hydraulic fluid and filter*

Electrical Systems

• Clean electrical cabinet*

• Check voltages

• Inspect connections and terminals

• Inspect electrical ground connections

• Replace or clean filter fan*

• Check limit switches and safety locks

• Check Axis motors and cables
